The Art Works, Granton

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the pre-planning public consultation for The Art Works in Granton, North Edinburgh; notes that this is a project by the National Galleries of Scotland to construct a new building to house Scotland’s national art collection and provide a significant, long-term contribution to benefit and enhance the local community; further notes that the realisation of the project will allow more artworks to be made available for display and loan, and for touring around Scotland and internationally, and understands that the initiative is part of the ambitious Granton Waterfront project.
