Muiredge Primary School in Uddingston Raises Funds for Homeless Charity

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the pupils and staff of Muiredge Primary School, Uddingston, South Lanarkshire, for what it sees as their compassionate and inventive fundraising for the homelessness prevention charity, Right There; understands that over the course of one week, around 150 pupils took part in a sponsored Jumpathon event, springing into action to help those in the community who are facing homelessness; further understands that the Jumpathon fundraiser marked the end of a block of learning on the different causes of homelessness delivered to Muiredge pupils by the charity, Right There; notes what it sees as the school’s deep commitment to a social justice curriculum in action; thanks the pupils and staff for their activism, and wishes them every success in future social justice initiatives.
