Aberdeen Asda Workers Save Life on Shopfloor
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Robyn Gauld and Grace Mugglestone for coming to the aid of a gentleman who suffered a heart attack in the Asda Dyce store in Aberdeen while doing his grocery shopping; notes that section leaders, Robyn and Grace, who are both first aiders, immediately came to the gentleman’s aid by administering CPR and ensuring he remained stable until emergency services arrived; understands that they also deployed the store’s defibrillator as a precautionary measure, but did not have to use it; further understands that the gentleman’s daughter believes that the quick thinking and rapid response from Robyn and Grace helped to save the gentleman’s life, and pays tribute to Robyn and Grace for intervening so promptly before the paramedics took over.
