Report Finds Motherwell FC Community Trust Brought Benefits of £13.64 Million to Community
The motion
That the Parliament notes that, a little more than 10 years after it was established, Motherwell FC Community Trust has published a Social Return on Investment report, which, it believes, shows the true value of its work to the local community; understands that the findings have reportedly highlighted the excellent work that the Trust has done and what it has contributed to the local community and people, and that in 2021, a year disrupted by lockdowns, restricted numbers and travel, the Trust brought benefits of £13.64 million to the local community; further understands that this figure is broken down into three subsections, the £8,560,000 economic impact of social benefits, £387,074 as direct contributions to the economy and £4,692,000 of healthcare savings from football participation; congratulates the team at Motherwell FC Community Trust, and wishes them all the best for the future.
