Prestwick Academy
The motion
That the Parliament commends Prestwick Academy for winning the Reading Inspiration Award as part of the First Minister’s Reading Challenge; understands that this award recognises the school’s commitment to reading and encouraging a reading culture amongst pupils; recognises that the First Minister’s Reading Challenge aims to help children and young people between the ages of five and 18 develop a love of reading; notes that First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, visited Prestwick Academy on 8 June 2022 to present pupils with the award and congratulate them on their efforts; applauds Prestwick Academy for their efforts, and wishes them the very best for the future.
