Bothwell's Celeste Majcher has Third Book Published, Tommy's Mummy is Sad

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Celeste Majcher, from Bothwell, South Lanarkshire, on the publication of her children’s book, Tommy's Mummy is Sad; notes that the children’s book explores the rarely written about subject of how children cope with and react to a parent suffering from depression, discussing the topic with fun and sensitivity, using beautiful illustrations, including of Tommy who is a little, green frog; understands that Celeste, a mother of five children and who, in her popular blog, has previously described her own struggles with poor mental health, has written the book to provide hope and strength to families as they deal with the daily pressures of life, as well as to reduce stigma and increase the understanding of mental health matters across wider society, and acknowledges that this is Celeste’s third published work, with her first, The Forgotten, offering a collection of fictional stories inspired by the conversations that Celeste had with vulnerable people who she met while she was a care worker, and her second publication, Taking Root, provides a collection of poems written during the COVID-19 pandemic.
