Galloway Young Footballers Net National Honour

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Millennium FC U13s Team based in Stranraer, Wigtownshire, on being awarded Youth Team of the Year at the MG Alba Scottish Women’s Football Awards on 8 June 2022; notes that they fought off competition from well established women’s teams such as Rangers FC and Glasgow City; congratulates the team on a successful season, which saw them finishing as league winners and league top scorers and reaching the quarter finals of the league cup; congratulates the team on also receiving the Sports Award, in memory of Shaun Niven, at the Awarding Wigtownshire Awards on 12 June 2022; thanks all of those who volunteer their time at Millennium Football Club to ensure that the teams can run and give young people in the Stranraer and wider Wigtownshire area the opportunity to develop as young footballers and as young people, and wishes the Millennium FC U13s and the whole club well for the future.
