Stonehouse EcoFestival
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Stonehouse EcoFestival group for hosting a free family-friendly, community-led, eco festival in the hall and grounds of St Ninian's Church, Stonehouse on 21 May 2022; understands that the event was organised following local debate on the issue of climate change; commends the publication of a detailed event guide, recording how the volunteers organised the festival, which provided useful guidance to encourage other communities to organise their own eco-events; recognises what it sees as the achievement of the volunteers in encouraging participation and discussion for a more sustainable environment and a world free of pollution, and wishes all involved the best of luck for future events.
