Prestwick NHS Nurse Wins Prestigious Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Prestwick’s Karen Provan as she is announced the winner of the Nurse Spotlight award 2022; notes that Karen has worked for NHS Ayrshire and Arran for more than 23 years; understands that the award was presented from the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (FSRH) of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists; further understands that Karen was nominated for the award by her colleague; acknowledges that the FSRH Spotlight Award is part of the Faculty’s International Nurse Day celebrations; commends Karen for working through the COVID-19 pandemic, and salutes the role of the NHS workforce in helping to keep staff and patients safe; recognises Karen's hard work and commitment to her role, and wishes her continued success in her career ahead.
