Eden Durrand with Youth Pom Team Scotland Achieve Bronze Medal

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Eden Durrand, a pupil from Dalziel High School, and the Youth Pom for Team Scotland, on achieving the bronze medal at the World Cheerleading Championships in Florida; understands that the 2022 tournament involved over 80 teams and 3,000 athletes from countries around the globe and was televised on the Olympics television channel after the sport received Olympic recognition last summer for the first time; acknowledges what it sees as the hard work and dedication that went into winning this medal, and wishes the team and Eden all the best for future championships.
