Leuchie House Successful in Two National Charity Award Categories
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Leuchie House on the organisation’s success in two categories at the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) 2022 Scottish Charity Awards; commends Leuchie House’s The Big Hare Trail, a free, family-friendly, public art event held in North Berwick in the summer of 2021, for being chosen as the Campaign of the Year; further commends the organisation on its receipt of the Digital Citizen award, which commemorates voluntary sector organisations that have contributed to a digitally inclusive and connected Scotland; recognises that Leuchie House is a national respite charity, which provides transformational holidays for people living with neurological conditions such as MS, MND, stroke and Parkinson’s, and helps carers and families have a break from caring responsibilities; welcomes the ongoing success of SCVO’s annual Charity Awards, and notes the important role that the event plays in highlighting the incredible efforts of organisations and individuals across Scotland’s voluntary sector.
