Troon Golf Club Invests in Water-saving Measures

The motion

That the Parliament applauds Troon Golf Club as it invests in protecting water resources; understands that the club took part in Water Saving Week 2022 that took place between 23 and 27 May 2022; understands that Water Saving Week is an annual event created by Waterwise to raise issues around water, and focus on water and the natural environment; acknowledges that the club has been investing in a state-of-the-art replacement irrigation system over the past three years; notes that the new system allows the Club to target where water is required and enables water to be used more efficiently, and supports the Club’s initiative to reduce water consumption, use less energy, reduce emissions and move towards net zero.
