Opening of Sensory Garden at Vale of Leven Hospital

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde on the opening of a sensory garden at the Vale of Leven Hospital in Alexandria; recognises that the garden has been designed around the needs of patients to aid their rehabilitation and recovery; acknowledges that staff at the hospital have worked hard to develop the space, transforming it into a place of peace and tranquillity, which also features a chess set, planting and potting stations as well as a pagoda with heating and lighting for staff, patients and visitors to enjoy throughout the year, and thanks those who contributed to the project, including staff from Inex and Apex Groundcare Ltd, William Craig who undertook grounds maintenance, Stephen Burgoyne and his staff of Burgoyne Electrical Ltd, William from Trident Maintenance Services Ltd, artist "Barry The Cat" who painted the murals on the walls, and Rev Ian Millar for formally opening the garden.
