Economic Value of the Screen Sector in Scotland in 2019

That the Parliament welcomes a new report, commissioned by Screen Scotland, and authored by Saffery Champness and Nordicity, Economic Value of the Screen Sector in Scotland in 2019; notes from the report that film and TV production in Scotland contributed £567.6 million to the Scottish economy in 2019, created 10,280 full time equivalent jobs and boosted other opportunities and skills within the sector; believes that Scotland's screen sector is currently in a period of exciting and significant growth and is increasingly taking a leading role in screen productions within Europe, and commends Screen Scotland, local authority screen offices and all others who have contributed to this success
