Alexandria’s Wee Play Place Soft Play Wins Prize at the Scottish Hospitality Awards

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates The Wee Play Place, in Alexandria, for winning the Best Entertaining Team prize at the Scottish Hospitality Awards; recognises that the awards acknowledge the businesses and business owners who make a positive difference to the hospitality industry; acknowledges that owner, Julie Thomas, and her staff have worked tirelessly since reopening following COVID-19-enforced closures to provide a safe and nurturing environment for young children to develop key skills that they may have missed out on during lockdowns, and recognises the efforts of Ms Thomas for speaking out in support of soft play businesses, which, it considers, endured long closures while other hospitality businesses were able to open despite restrictions continuing to be imposed.
