Braes High School Recognised as Most Improved in The Times Scotland High School League Table 2022

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Braes High School in Brightons, Falkirk, on being recognised as the most improved school in The Times Scotland High School League Table 2022; understands that the league table recognises the schools that have obtained five or more Higher certificate grades; notes that Braes High School was ranked 61st in 2016 with 33% of learners achieving over five Higher grades, and achieved 30th place in 2022 with 62% of learners achieving this; considers that this achievement is based on learners’ grades, but recognises that the school ethos, community links, family outreach and pastoral care given by the school further support learners to ensure that they are reaching their potential when working hard towards their qualifications; congratulates Braes High School once again on being recognised as the most improved school in Scotland between 2016 and 2022, and wishes the school and its learners well for the future.
