Clydebank Family Organise a Charity Hike Up The Humphrey
The motion
That the Parliament celebrates the efforts of Debbie Macrae in raising funds and awareness for the charity Bowel Cancer UK; understands that Debbie’s husband, Ian, was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer without experiencing typical symptoms; further understands that Debbie and Ian’s children, Katie, aged nine, and Liam, aged eleven, joined in the five-mile hike up the Humphrey; welcomes news that, along with family and friends, the total funds raised for charity was £2,180; highlights Debbie and Ian’s message, and encourages all men to talk to their doctor if they have any concerns about bowel cancer.
