The motion
That the Parliament notes the success of the Benarty Pipe Band and Highland Dancing Competition, which was held on 18 June 2022, at Lochore Meadows Country Park; acknowledges that this was the first time the competition was held after a period of absence during the COVID-19 pandemic; understands that the event was sorely missed by the communities of Benarty; further understands that the competition attracts bands from all across the country to compete together; thanks the Chieftain, Michael Payne, and Master of Ceremonies, Michael O'Hare who ensured the smooth running of the competition; further thanks all volunteers who stepped up and helped the day to be a success; recognises the Benarty Events Group who plan and organise this event as part of their Gala Week, and wishes them all the very best for the future.
