P&J Live Named Venue of the Year
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates P&J Live, which has recently been crowned Venue of the Year at the prestigious Association of Event Organisers Excellence Awards; understands that the Aberdeen Donside based venue was awarded the prize based on factors such as market conditions, growth and communication; further understands that P&J Live won against fierce competition, beating the likes of Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Centre, RAI Amsterdam, O2 Arena London and the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) Glasgow; believes that the Association of Event Organisers Awards represents the best the events industry has to offer and helps to showcase some of the finest achievements, recognising as well as celebrating the high standards of excellence from venues and the service quality by suppliers and contractors; notes that P&J Live became the largest venue in Scotland when it first opened its doors in August 2019 as a replacement for the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre, boasting world-class facilities as well as a 15,000 capacity arena; congratulates all staff involved in the day to day operations of P&J Live who help to ensure that every event is made a reality, and wishes them all the best for the future.
