Benefit of the ABZ Propeller Fund to Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire
The motion
That the Parliament notes what it sees as the vital importance of the ABZ Propeller Fund, administered by Aberdeen International Airport, to communities across Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire, including the Aberdeen Donside constituency, in supporting local community groups, charities and good causes with their projects and aims; understands that the ABZ Propeller Fund makes £25,000 available to groups who have projects which link with education, sustainability, and economic regeneration and that, in 2019, more than £22,000 was donated to 20 applicants including VSA, Cyrenians and 30th Aberdeen Guides, but that no funding was awarded over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic; applauds Aberdeen International Airport for reopening the fund, and congratulates all successful applicants from the recent meeting on 24 June 2022; encourages any applicable organisation or community group to take a look at how the ABZ Propeller Fund could potentially benefit them for the next round of funding, and thanks all involved at Aberdeen International Airport for their continued commitment to communities across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.
