Uddingston Project Manager Wins the BESA Group's HNC & HND Apprentice of the Year

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates former apprentice, Calum Finlayson of Uddingston’s Emtec group, who has been awarded the HNC & HND Apprentice of the Year Award at the recent BESA Group awards 2022; understands that Calum will now attend the prestigious National Awards event in London on 20 October 2022; notes that the BESA awards recognise apprentices and employers within the building services industry who have had outstanding achievements over the past year; further notes that the awards commend the dedication of the next generation who are coming into building services, as well as the employers who nurture them; understands that Emtec group, in addition to its current team of over 50 trade apprentices at all levels in the Scotland business, continues to grow and build on this by adding 27 new apprentices in 2022, supporting the Scottish Industry, and wishes Calum every success in the future as he sets out on a promising career.
