North Lanarkshire Hub: Excellence in Professional Learning Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates North Lanarkshire Learning Hub on receiving an Excellence in Professional Learning award; understands that the Learning Hub is part of the Scottish Attainment Challenge (SAC) team, and that the award celebrates and recognises the work by SAC Educational Support Officers for Literacy and Numeracy; acknowledges that the Hub has established a culture of professional learning through the coaching model, focusing on promoting, supporting and encouraging a collaborative, professional learning community across primary and secondary schools, and helping to create a positive impact on teachers, classroom practice and the learning of children and young people; notes that the awards are made by the General Teaching Council for Scotland, and thanks all the staff and volunteers in the education sector for their hard work and dedication.
