COSLA President
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Councillor Shona Morrison on her appointment as President of the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA); notes that the local councillor for Fochaders and Lhanbryde becomes the sixteenth elected president and only the fourth woman to hold the role; thanks Councillor Shona Morrison's predecessor, Councillor Alison Evison, for her hard work, service and professionalism during her term, and wishes her well for her future endeavours.
