Scottish Cafe Awards 2022

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Glasgow city centre coffee shop, Cafe Calla, for winning Best of Glasgow, in the Scottish Cafe Awards; understands that the awards ceremony, which was held on the evening of 27 June 2022, and hosted over 200 professionals in the hospitality industry to celebrate the best cafes in the country; acknowledges that ice cream and churros experts, Loop and Scoop, on Great Western Road, received best Dessert Parlour of the Year, while popular Dennistoun cafe, Scran, took home the prize for Local Cafe of the Year; appreciates that it has been a hard two years for the hospitality industry, and understands that many business have had to diversify just to stay open.
