Bipolar Scotland Launches Beyond Diagnosis Service

The motion

That the Parliament understands that Bipolar Scotland’s new Beyond Diagnosis service aims to support adults in Scotland who have recently been diagnosed with bipolar; further understands that support is built around service users and support workers having a "shared experience" as workers and volunteers in the service also live with bipolar; notes that the service will provide practical advice on finances, work situations and education and, it considers, most importantly, help people to come to terms with their diagnosis; congratulates Bipolar Scotland on putting National Lottery Community Funding that it secured to make the Beyond Diagnosis service possible, and further congratulates Bipolar Scotland in keeping a national focus on bipolar, which helps to ensure there is a greater understanding of it in society.
