Inverclyde Continues to Provide Fresh, Local and Sustainable Dishes to School Pupils
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Inverclyde Council’s school catering team for scooping the Soil Foundation’s "Food for Life Served Here" bronze award for the fourth year running, in recognition of them serving up fresh, local and sustainable dishes to 20 primary school pupils across the area; notes that the local authority first secured the accolade in 2019 for meals that were made with free-range eggs and high-welfare meat, and free from genetically modified ingredients and additives; believes that providing school children with healthy, nutritious meals will help them with their learning and development, and commends Inverclyde Council’s school catering team for their continued commitment to this.
