Julie Macintosh Retires from Early Years After 40 Years

The motion

That the Parliament wishes Julie Macintosh, a senior early years education and childcare officer at Glenbrae Children’s Centre in Greenock, a long and happy retirement after 40 years at the nursery; understands that Julie, 60, qualified as a nursery nurse after taking a course at James Watt College and went straight into a role at Glenbrae; recognises that Julie, who lives in Wemyss Bay, now plans to enjoy her time by doing more walking and looking after her two grandchildren; appreciates that Julie’s colleagues, who say Julie will be sorely missed, have paid tribute to her kind and caring nature; thanks Julie for her career-long commitment to early years and childcare in Inverclyde, and wishes her all the best for her retirement.
