Businesses from Carluke and Forth - Finalists in the 2022 Lanarkshire Business Awards

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the news that South Lanarkshire is home to two of the finalists for Lanarkshire’s Best New Business category in the 2022 Lanarkshire Business Awards; understands that the Lanarkshire Business Awards are hosted by South Lanarkshire Council and North Lanarkshire Council and the Best New Business award recognises businesses that are under three years of age, have demonstrated a strong trading performance over the last year, and have potential for future growth; notes that the awards ceremony will take place on 2 September 2022, which will be the first ceremony since the awards were paused in 2020 for COVID-19; congratulates Steak and Still Farm Shop, of Forth, and Omni Interior Solutions Ltd, of Carluke, on their nominations and for their contributions to the South Lanarkshire community; recognises what it sees as the economic benefits of a diverse local economy, and wishes both finalists well at the awards dinner and beyond.
