Bellshill Young Musicians to Perform at TRNSMT

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates two young Bellshill musicians, 15-year-old Connor Fyfe and 22-year-old Rianne Downey on securing performance slots at TRNSMT, Scotland's largest music festival; notes that Connor and Rianne will be playing the River Stage on the final day of the festival on 10 July 2022, with Rianne making her second consecutive appearance at TRNSMT, this time performing with a live band and Connor, who is also performing with a live band, will have the honour of being the youngest performer at the festival; understands that Connor and Rianne will be playing at an event expected to be attended by up to 50,000 people each day, and further understands that there is enormous pride across Bellshill, recognising that the two musicians will be experiencing the biggest moment in their respective careers and that the accolade is testimony to their respective talents and dedication.
