Team Heart Hues, Belmont Academy, Ayr
The motion
That the Parliament applauds pupils from Belmont Academy who came first in the Sir Tom Hunter Challenge; congratulates Team Heart Hues for winning with their Drink Jewel idea, which, it understands, is a locket that can be used to detect if a drink has been spiked; believes that this idea raises awareness of the issue of spiking; commends the pupils on winning £5,000 for Belmont Academy, which it understands, will be used to set up an enterprise fund that pupils can apply to use for their real life enterprising ideas; acknowledges Team Heart Hues’ success, and wishes them all the best for the future.
