Paddle Steamer Waverley Marks 75 Years Serving the Clyde Coast

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Waverley paddle steamer as it marks its 75th anniversary; understands that the iconic vessel set off on a cruise on 16 June 2022 calling at Kilcreggan en route to Loch Goil before calling at Arrochar, mirroring the route she was built to serve; further understands that the Waverley is the last steamer built to serve the Clyde Coast and is the last sea-going paddle steamer in the world; congratulates the vessel for her longevity, and applauds efforts by those involved in keeping her sea-worthy, including members of the Waverley Steam Navigation Co Ltd.
