Congratulates Millie Boo Smith on Qualifying for the RDA National Championships

The motion

That the Parliament wishes Millie Boo Smith, from Stirling, great success at the Riding for the Disabled (RDA) National Championships in Hartpury, near Gloucester, on 15 to 17 July 2022; understands that Millie Boo was born 14 weeks early in 2006 and has cerebral palsy and bilateral hearing loss, however this has not held her back, having won her class with a score of 77.1% and qualifying for the RDA National Championships with the highest score of the day and winning best turned out junior, all of this on a borrowed horse, named Charity, from Muirfield RDA; further understands that, in 2021, Millie Boo won RDA Participant of the Year in recognition of her success, commitment, enthusiasm and dedication and was presented the award by Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal; notes that Millie Boo also won Forth Valley Disability Sportsperson of the Year in 2022 and was a finalist in the Sunday Mail Young Scot Awards in 2022; congratulates Millie Boo for qualifying for the RDA National Championships, and wishes her great success in this event and in the future.
