Southside Forest School Fifth in Scotland to be Recognised by National Body

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates W.I.L.D. Woodland Learning on becoming an approved good practice provider; understands that the southside forest school that runs out of Linn Park is only the fifth one in Scotland; further understands that the title given by the Forest School Association, the UK’s professional body and voice for forest schools, acknowledges that their scheme helps people identify those providers who are following good Forest School practice and distinguishes them from other outdoor education that is not Forest School; notes that recipients are added to a publicly accessible map on the FSA website; further notes that they are the second in the Glasgow region to be recognised, after the Auchinarn Afterschool Care and Forest School in Briarcroft, and understands that the forest school teaches children about nature and the environment in outdoor sessions.
