Beverley Addison Appointed RugbyForce Young Ambassador

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Greenock Wanderers RFC Women’s Captain, Beverley Addison, on being appointed as a RugbyForce Young Ambassador for 2022; understands that the ambassador programme is designed to develop the next generation of grassroots players and inspire new generations of talent; notes that Beverley, aged 29, is one of just 15 people picked for the programme across the UK and will receive a £500 grant, specialist training and mentoring to develop key skills needed in club management; understands that Beverley plans to use the grant to run player recruitment drives and target younger age groups through TikTok; believes that this ambassadorship is a fantastic achievement that reflects Beverley’s commitment to women and girls rugby, and is a fitting tribute to Greenock Wanderers’ efforts to grow the women’s game as they celebrate their 150th anniversary, and wishes Beverley all the best as she embarks on this new programme.
