Motion · S6M-05417 · 12 Jul 2022
Callum Boyd, Inverclyde Voluntary Council of Social Services
The motion
That the Parliament wishes Callum Boyd well as he prepares to step down from his role as transport convenor and a voluntary driver with Inverclyde Voluntary Council of Social Services (IVCSS) after 25 years; understands that Callum, aged 79, has been a dedicated volunteer with the local transport service, which runs a fleet of more than 20 buses, to support the most vulnerable people in the community by driving them to and from medical appointments; further understands that Callum, who also spent over 40 years as a Boys’ Brigade officer, is hoping to spend more time with his family; thanks Callum for his commitment to IVCSS, and believes that his dedication, support and love of the job helped build the organisation’s reputation within the Inverclyde community.
