Heroic Actions by East Ayrshire Council Employee

The motion

That the Parliament commends Colin Pettigrew on what it sees as his heroic act by springing into action to rescue a woman trapped in a house fire in Drongan, Ayrshire; understands that Colin, who is a joiner employed by East Ayrshire Council, was flagged down by a member of the public, when he selflessly grabbed his ladder and scaled to the first floor of the property and brought the woman down to safety allowing the emergency services to take over; appreciates Colin for, it believes, almost certainly saving this woman’s life, and wishes him well for the future.
