Asda Kilmarnock Supports Local Events
The motion
That the Parliament commends Asda Kilmarnock for supporting the annual Mauchline Holy Fair through the Asda Foundation’s Empowering Local Communities grant; understands that the grant supports a broad range of activities, which contribute towards transforming communities and improving lives; notes that the Fair has been cancelled for the past two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic; further notes that the self-funded May 2022 event attracted over 15,000 people; recognises what it sees as the valuable contribution the Asda Foundation makes to support the local communities around their stores, and welcomes their continued support for communities across Scotland.
