Hero Joiner Saves Life

The motion

That the Parliament recognises the outstanding efforts of East Ayrshire Council joiner, Colin Pettigrew, for his quick thinking actions to rescue an unconscious woman from a burning house; understands that Colin was travelling through Drongan on his way to a job when a member of public flagged him down to try to assist; further understands that Colin used his ladder to climb to the first floor of the burning property, where he was then able to carry down to safety an unconscious woman before emergency services arrived; commends him for his quick thinking actions, and thanks him for his bravery and efforts.
