Asda Foundation Grants for Falkirk East Constituency Projects
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes over £9,000 funding for community projects in Falkirk East constituency from the Asda Foundation; understands that Laurieston Bowling Club has received £1,250 and Forth Valley Talking Newspaper Association (Newsline) was awarded £1,116 from the Empowering Local Communities grant, while Bailliefields Community Hub in Brightons has received £7,500 from the Spaces and Places fund to support the development of the kitchen and toilet area, including a fully accessible toilet facility; notes what it sees as the importance of community organisations having safe, inclusive and accessible resources in helping to improve people’s lives on a daily basis; believes that this funding will have a positive impact on these organisations as well as those who use and benefit from the activities and services that they provide; congratulates everyone involved in Laurieston Bowling Club, Newsline and Bailliefields Community Hub on successfully being awarded this funding, and looks forward to seeing their progress positively impact on their communities.
