Celebrating the Life of The Cottage Family Centre Volunteer, Tracey Rankin
The motion
That the Parliament notes the unexpected passing of Tracey Rankin, who was a dedicated supporter and volunteer with the Kirkcaldy charity, The Cottage Family Centre; understands that Tracey was absolutely committed to ensuring that families who experienced poverty, regardless of the reason, received the support that they deserved and needed; commends Tracey for, it believes, being a shining light for so many vulnerable people and families when they were experiencing the darkest of times, from supporting families who lost their loved ones by helping to pay for funeral costs, to putting a smile on the faces of children and young people every Christmas by providing them with gifts and food when they had none; celebrates Tracey’s life and achievements in helping people and families who experience poverty, and believes that she genuinely loved and cared for people and would do whatever she could to make their lives better with her infectious laughter, enthusiasm, care, love, and compassion, which, it believes, made a huge contribution to the lives of others less fortunate.
