Cessation Champion Lisa O'Neill
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Lisa O’Neill, a community pharmacy worker based within the Boots pharmacy in Motherwell, on winning the Service Excellence Award at the Training Matters ninth annual Recognition of Excellence Awards; understands that the award was presented in recognition of Lisa’s passionate dedication to the Motherwell pharmacy’s smoking cessation services, achieving the highest quit rate across Lanarkshire; further understands that the Recognition of Excellence Awards are the only awards in the UK that celebrate hardworking pharmacy staff, without the focus being on pharmacists; acknowledges that Lisa is highly respected in the community through her dedication, encouragement and empowerment to those she assists during their 12-week smoking cessation programme, and wishes Lisa and all those who participate in the service continued success for the future.
