Wester Hailes Arts for Leisure and Education (WHALE Arts Agency) 30th Anniversary

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Wester Hailes Arts for Leisure and Education (WHALE Arts Agency) on its 30th anniversary; understands that a family fun day is planned for 20 August 2022 where 30 years of creativity in the community will be celebrated; notes that WHALE Arts first opened in the Blue Hut on the Murrayburn Greenway in 1992 before moving to its purpose-built art centre in 2000; thanks the staff and volunteers, past and present, for the support given to local people to involve themselves in the arts through training courses, workshops, events, and activities, and wishes the team, board, partners and friends every success in continuing to provide artistic opportunities in future.
