Crowdfunding Efforts to Celebrate the Work of Henry Anderson
The motion
That the Parliament commends public crowdfunding efforts to raise funds towards a memorial bench in Victoria Park, Bridge of Earn, in memory of Cllr Henry Anderson, who died of COVID-19 in December 2020; pays tribute to Cllr Anderson, a public servant who it considers was truly committed to his local community and described aptly by the crowdfunder as “a big hearted, truly selfless man whose generosity knew no bounds...such was his character, even those who only knew him for a short time regarded him as a friend”, and understands and appreciates that any excess money raised will be donated to further refurbishment of the Bridge of Earn Institute.
