Major Angus Steele MBE

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Major Angus Steele, on receiving an MBE for services to the 2 SCOTS, The Royal Regiment ofScotland; notes that Major Angus Steele has served in the Armed Forces for thepast 37 years; understands that he has seen action in major conflicts includingNorthern Ireland, Bosnia, Iraq and Afghanistan and that he is due to retire inthe coming weeks; thanks all service personnel, past and present, for theirdedication to keeping Scotland and the UK’s interests safe, while encouragingpeaceful diplomatic solutions wherever possible, and wishes Major Steele a longand happy retirement.
