Team Dundee at the 2022 Commonwealth Games

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates all Dundonians, and those with connections to the city, representing Team Scotland at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham; recognises that Lochee Boxing Club’s Sam Hickey will make his Commonwealth Games debut in the middleweight category; notes that Rebecca Ward, Charlotte Watson, Jessica Ross, Katie Robertson, Jamie Golden and Cameron Golden will compete in Team Scotland’s hockey squads; understands that Gold Coast Commonwealth champion cyclist Mark Stewart will appear at his third Commonwealth Games alongside teammate Lewis Stewart; recognises middle and long distance Hawkhill Harrier’s runners Eilish McColgan and Laura Muir; notes a basketball debut for Team Scotland and Tayside Musketeers’ Hannah Robb; notes Dundee-born Cameron Gammage, who will compete in the three-metre diving events; recognises Dundee GC2K’s Emily Bremner, who will compete in gymnastics, and wishes all Team Scotland athletes every success at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
