Aberdeen Fertility Centre

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Aberdeen Fertility Centre as it merges into NHS Grampian; notes that NHS Grampian and the University of Aberdeen have worked in partnership for years; understands that this move will bring Aberdeen in line with Scotland’s other fertility centres; notes that Aberdeen Fertility Centre is a provider of clinical services to NHS Grampian, Highland, Orkney, Shetland, and to self-funding patients; understands that the team helped the first Scottish baby to be born following egg donation in 1993 and the first after surgical sperm retrieval in 1996; further understands that the Fertility Centre will move into the newly-built Baird Family Centre when it opens in 2024, and wishes all staff and patients the best for the future of the centre.
