Day-Today Express Wins Rising Star Award at Independent Achiever’s Academy Awards

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Asiyah and Jawad Javed of Day-Today Express in Stenhousemuir, Falkirk, on their recent award at the Independent Achiever’s Academy; understands that their convenience store was awarded the Rising Star Award at the awards ceremony on 13 July 2022; notes that the Independent Achiever’s Academy awards recognise retailers from across Scotland who have achieved over and above the main principles of retailing, and who go the extra mile for their business and customers in their community; highlights the incredible work Asiyah and Jawad undertook during the COVID-19 pandemic, where they provided over 10,000 care packs of hand sanitiser and face coverings to older and vulnerable people in the community, as well as providing food packages to those who needed them; congratulates Asiyah and Jawad on their award and the recognition of their achievements, and wishes them well for the future.
