Milngavie Music Club’s 80th Anniversary

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates one of Scotland’s oldest chamber music societies, the Milngavie Music Club, on 80 years of promoting world-class concerts; understands that Milngavie Music Club was founded during the Second World War to bring top class musicians to Milngavie; notes that the club will be hosting a series of concerts at Cairns Church to celebrate the anniversary; welcomes that concerts will include performances from Scottish world-renowned pianist, Steven Osborne, and Milngavie-raised operatic star, Michael Mofidian; believes that the last few years have been a challenge for the performing arts, but notes what it considers the industry’s resilient nature, and wishes the club and the performers every success going forward.
