Project 81 Garelochhead Awards Evening Celebration

The motion

That the Parliament commends the organisers of Project 81 for honouring volunteers at an awards evening; understands that the events evening focused on volunteers from Route 81 and Centre 81 who supported the organisation throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, and notes that, over that last year, 26 young people have volunteered over 700 hours of their time, with 17 adults also supporting projects; acknowledges that, between June 2021 and May 2022, 61 young people directly benefitted from the group’s services, as well as a further 173 community members, and applauds the work put into supporting a total of 104 members to re-join the community gym and in supporting the youth team to get back up and running, which has been very helpful after the pandemic; understands that the youth hub will be in place by the end of 2022, and highlights what it sees as the positive impact of the organisation's work, which has been considerable to the Garelochhead area.
