12-year-old Kickboxer from Dumbarton Ranked Number One in the World

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates kickboxer, Maia Bisley, aged 12, on being ranked number one in the world by the World Association of Kickboxing Organisations across four different categories; recognises that Maia won two previous British titles and continues to train in order to improve her skills and abilities; acknowledges that her success to date puts her on course for the 2028 Olympics, which would be a huge honour for her and for the area, including Alexandria Kickboxing Academy where she initially trained and the D-Unit gym in Dumbarton where she currently attends; wishes Maia well in her future endeavours, and looks forward to keeping in touch with her progress and future success.
